An important Imperial Roman Marble portrait head of a member of the Royal Family
perhaps a young Furia Sabinia Tranquilina (225-244 AD). Married to the Emperor Gordianus III in 241 AD when they were both aged 16. Mounted in the 17th Century on an Italian marble and onyx bust
Portrait head, late Severan era to the age of Imperial Crisis, ca. 225-251 AD.
